Norma

The play is based on the first novel by Vladimir Sorokin "Norm".

Maxim Didenko, director:
"This text drills out the metaphysical basis of Russian consciousness. The concept of a norm is static on one hand but is also fluid on the other: the norm is constantly changing, time flows, life goes on. Humans also change and do not notice how something, which was impossible to imagine before, has become the new norm. Russian people can sometimes get accustomed to radical and terrifying things, and I wanted to explore the core of this. This text is a puzzle that one is drawn to solve.
The production is a synthesis of music, dance, performative, and digital arts."

Norma is a joint project of the Theater on Bronnaya and Brusnikin's Studio.
